Video making requires talented people's time and equipment, filming days and post production days. How can you publish quality daily stories?
In this workshop you will learn how to create your own videos, refine your brand, use social platforms wisely and learn about image composition.
To find your brand, we need to talk about your music, the current album or event that you wish to promote, the feel that your music is offering, and the image that you wish to portray.
We will discuss different ideas and thoughts about creating diverse content, and how to create a low budget music video, including the thought process and what steps needed to make it from an idea to finished video.
We will touch on the technical part of video making with a smartphone, discover the video filming options and go over the basics of editing.
We will look at video size benefits, key features, how much to upload and other do's and don'ts, and how to promote your video creation on social platforms.

Target Group
This workshop is for musicians, who'd like to learn how to produce video content on a budget and with a proper strategy

Learning Outcome
In this workshop you will learn how to create your own videos, refine your brand, use social platforms wisely and learn about image composition.

ILLAY is a multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter from Tel Aviv, based in Berlin. She uses foremost her cello in an extraordinary way, creating rhythms and sounds, utilizing looping and sound technologies, haunting soundscapes and surprising effects. Having grown up in Israel, she forms a mixture of east and west, classical and electronic.

Nimrod Keren is a video producer, director, screenwriter, and editor born in Jerusalem in 1984.
His work revolves primarily around music, he has made numerous collaborations with musicians, bands and DJ's creating music videos, filming festivals, live concerts and tour documentations.
In addition to his cinematic work Nimrod is a commercial content creator for brands and creates documentaries for private companies and for television.
His work originates from Tel Aviv, New York, Amsterdam and Berlin where he is currently based.

Der Workshop „Content-Creation Workshop: Erfolgreiches Storytelling für Musiker:innen auf TikTok & Reels “ richtet sich an Newcomer und etablierte Musiker:innen, die erfahren möchten, mit welchen Methoden man spannende Content Ideen für sich selbst entdeckt. Heutzutage charten junge Künstler:innen teilweise, indem sie drei Dinge kombinieren:

1) ihren Song

2) kreative Promo Ideen und

3) ihr Smartphone.

Dafür braucht es oft nicht einmal ein Budget, sondern kreative Skills. Nicht jeder Person ist diese Intuition in die Wiege gelegt und das muss es auch nicht, da man das lernen und trainieren kann. Es gibt theoretische Ansätze, so wie praktische Tipps und Tricks, um diese Baustellen zu bewältigen. Im Rahmen des Workshops erarbeiten wir Ansätze zur „Corporate Identity“ der jeweiligen Teilnehmer:innen und erstellen in Praxisübungen Hochkant-Videos für TikTok und co.

Zielgruppe
Der Workshop richtet sich an Musiker:innen jeden Alters, die ihre Reichweite mit Hilfe von TikTok und Reels erhöhen möchten.

Stephanie von Beauvais dreht als Regisseurin und Produzentin seit über 20 Jahren Musikvideos und Werbespots im In-und Ausland. Sie hat an der Universität der Künste in Berlin mit Abschluss als Diplom-Kommunikationswirtin studiert und währenddessen Praxiserfahrung in Los Angeles, bei Tom Tykwer und in diversen Filmproduktionen gesammelt. Werbespots für Produkte wie Axe, Twix, Ovomaltine, SAT1, DEVK, Brigitte oder Dr Hauschka entstanden unter ihrer Regie, dabei hat sie unter anderem Lukas Podolski, Esther Schweins und Hape Kerkeling inszeniert. Mit der Kamera begleitete sie Bands beim Entstehen ihrer Platte, sie hat im Bühnengraben Konzerte mit gefilmt und mit ihren Musikvideos dazu beigetragen, diversen Künstlern ein eigenes Image zu gestalten. Dabei arbeitete sie zusammen mit Beatsteaks, Tocotronic, Laing, 2Raumwohnung, Kreator, Turbostaat, Egoexpress und vielen anderen. Beauvais ist ausserdem Autorin und Regisseurin der Sendung ‚My Hometown‘, einem Musik-Dokumentations-Format, das auf ARD einsplus erschien. Hier stellten Musiker wie Casper, Marteria, Beatsteaks, Olli Schulz oder Cro ihre persönliche Geschichte in ihrer Heimatstadt vor. Die Regisseurin lebt in Berlin, ist Musikvideo-Dozentin an der Screen and Film Faculty/ Berlin und hat Workshops zum selben Thema gehalten, zum Beispiel am Internationalen Frauenfilmfestival Dortmund oder bei der Pop-Kultur Berlin. Seit 2016 bietet sie den vom Musicboard Berlin GmbH geförderten mehrwöchigen Intensiv-Workshop ‚Shoot it yourself‘ an. Hier richtet sie sich gezielt an diejenigen, die im Netzwerk junger Berliner Profi-Bands für die visuelle Gestaltung zuständig sind. Zudem arbeitet sie an einem gleichnamigen Handbuch.
