The internet and social media offer countless opportunities to present yourself and your music etc. to the public. You no longer necessarily need a PR agency or marketing department to reach your target group or fan base. A smartphone can already fulfill the technical requirements necessary for this. But given the flood of information and audiovisual content, it's more important than ever to convey engaging content. But what is my message? What makes me particularly unique? And how can I package this in appealing content?

IMPORTANT: The focus of this workshop is on the visual aspect and content and less on the strategy itself.

This workshop provides you with the basic knowledge to create your content in an appealing way and to plan it sensibly.

Getting organised in your musical career can feel too hard, scary, or too complicated – but it’s actually one of the most important things an artist can do. Creating a 12 or 18 month plan takes all the pressure of achievement and progress out of your head - and puts it into a plan. It means that you can focus on doing all the creative things you have put into your plan, and not stress about how, when and why you’re doing it. This workshop will help you create that plan.

Content:

Why is a career plan important and useful? And why is it useful for other people you meet in the industry?
How do you choose what your ambitions are, looking forward? How do you choose what not to do?
Using SMART planning to create targets that are achievable – and that make measurable progress happen.
Attendees will see examples of career plans, and will create and “sense check” their own career plan in the session.

For some this means playing as much live as possible, for others success is measured by good reviews, many plays or streams, others want to cover their living expenses with the help of music.
