Um als Künstler:in erfolgreich zu sein, ist eine starke Strategie, wie Artists die Beziehungen zu Fans, Audience und Partner:innen gestalten, eines der grundlegendsten Elemente Deiner Musikkarriere. Die größten Künstler:innen der Welt zeigen, dass der Weg an die Spitze kein Zufall ist, sondern vielmehr Resultat harter Arbeit ist, die eine klare Grundlage, eine strategische Gesamtperspektive und intelligentes Handeln für eine starke Artist Brand erfordert. Im Rahmen des Workshops It’s All About The Brand: Das „How To" zum nachhaltigen Aufbau Deiner Künstler:innenmarke lernen die Teilnehmenden, was eine Markenstrategie für Künstler:innen ist, wie man eine solche Strategie erarbeitet und schließlich zum Leben erweckt.

Der Workshop ist in zwei Teile gegliedert: Im ersten Teil werden zunächst unterschiedlichen Begriffe aus den Bereichen Marke, Identität und Strategie unterschieden, gefolgt von einer Einführung in das Grundkonzept der Markenstrategie für Künstler:innen im Allgemeinen, sowie in die Zielgruppe und die Notwendigkeit eine Strategie zu entwickeln. Zum Abschluss des ersten Teils wird das Artist Brand Canvas (ABC) als praktisches Instrument für die Entwicklung vonMarkenstrategien für Künstler:innen vorgestellt.

Der zweite Teil konzentriert sich auf den Prozess der Entwicklung der Strategie Artist Brand. Teilnehmende werden zunächst mit der internen und externen Situationsanalyse, sowie der SWOT-Analyse vertraut gemacht. Um den Grundstein für den eigentlichen Strategieentwicklungsprozess zu legen, werden die Teilnehmenden in die Konzepte des Golden Circle von Sinek sowie in die Identitätsbasierte Markenführung von Burmann als zugrunde liegende wissenschaftliche Modelle eingeführt. Nach Abschluss der Definition der Identität der Künstler:innenmarke werden Messaging und Story der Brand entwickelt und auf die passenden Brand Touchpoints abgestimmt.

We look forward to hosting a conversation at re:publica again this year:

As cultural practitioners, musicians and artists, we use and need certain infrastructures that make our work possible - we think of social media, streaming platforms, performance spaces or public funding schemes. Now, at a moment when the major social media are closely linked to the (incoming) Trump administration in the US, when the local political climate is deprioritising social and cultural budgets, and when AI is filling your slot in the playlist on streaming platforms (which have never worked for creators anyway), we feel more than ever that we can't really rely on the services that provide infrastructures for our work. And with the right-wing normalisation that is happening in many places, including Germany, this will certainly be felt more strongly in the governance of these infrastructures.

But what does that mean? Where to go, what to use, what to do? In this one-hour conversation, hosted by Andrea Goetzke and Eric Eitel from Music Pool Berlin, we would like to explore the state of the various infrastructures. And we'd like to re-imagine what these infrastructures could look like. What alternative models already exist? Can we influence or improve existing structures, or do we need to build something entirely new? How can we build resilient, equitable and sustainable infrastructures for our work and society? How do we want to redesign and reimagine infrastructures? We look at the issue from a perspective of equity that would allow every human being to thrive.

After the session at 19:45, there will be space to continue the conversation and meet each other, alongside music by a2n soundsystem.

The conversation will be held in German.

Frauke Boggasch beschäftigt sich in ihren Arbeiten mit den Widersprüchen der Kunstproduktion. Neben der Malerei sind Film und Text bevorzugte Medien, um über Erlebtes und Erinnerung nachzudenken und sich mit Fragen der Herkunft, der Klasse und des Zugangs zum Kunstsystem auseinanderzusetzen. Mit ironischen Selbstinszenierungen kommentiert sie die ewigen Vorstellungen des Künstler*genies und interessiert sich insbesondere für japanische Underground-Kultur. Zudem ist sie eine der beiden Sprecher*innen des bbk berlin (berufsverband bildender künstler*innen berlin).

Anita Richelli is a booking agent and concert promoter based in Berlin. She works under her own company: brighter agency. Originally from Verona, she started organizing gigs during high school, in her own DIY place called Casetta Lou Fai. Later, she joined Interzona, a cultural association in her hometown, where she was responsible for the music program and communication. In 2012, she spent some time at Rex Cultural Centre in Belgrade, Serbia. In Berlin since 2010, she has worked for different booking agencies, promoters and festivals, beside working as independent promoter. Since 2022 she is in charge of booking for the showcase part of Most Wanted: Music, Berlin's most important music business event.

Vincent Bababoutilabo ist ein in Berlin lebender Künstler und Autor. Zu seinen Arbeiten gehören der Audiowalk „ZurückERZÄHLT“, der 2022 mit dem 1. Platz des Audiowalk-Awards ausgezeichnet wurde, sowie das Album „Rosa Shakur“ der gleichnamigen Band. Als Sideman ist er im Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra aktiv, welches 2025 für den Deutschen Jazzpreis nominiert wurde.

Niklas Mündemann studied saxophone and instrumental pedagogy at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and has been working as a freelance musician and music teacher since 2017. He has released several albums and played concerts throughout Europe. By working with various labels and agencies worldwide, he has been able to build up a strong network and has been helping other artists to position themselves professionally in the music market since 2023.

To intensify this work, he founded the psst! agency in 2024, with which he supports musicians in the areas of release strategy, management, funding acquisition and music marketing. He is also the founder and chairman of the Klimper Klang - Musik Inklusiv e.V. association, which campaigns for barrier-free music offerings for people with disabilities and more inclusion in the music scene.

Do you want to live out of your music but don't know how? We hear so much doom and gloom today from people screaming that there’s no money in music except for the big major artists. So how to make a good (subjective of course) living nowadays with your music? The secret is that there is not one way to succeed. You have to figure out what works for you. How to adapt both mentally and practically, and figure out how you can use your talents to make a living, and simultaneously pursue and fulfill your dream.

I have been living out of music for the last 40 years, and have tried almost all fields in aconstantly changing the music business as a DIY-thinking person. Taking the starting point in my own story, I want to share with you what I have learned along the road, and I will run through what possibilities there are to get to live out of doing what you love the most, and how to put a career together so it fits YOUR personal needs and dreams.

Ein Abend mit Gesprächsrunde und Konzerten - in Kooperation zwischen Music Pool Berlin und Handiclapped.

In der Gesprächsrunde möchten wir mit vier Musiker*innen mit unterschiedlichen Einschränkungen darüber sprechen, wie wir das Musikmachen zugänglich machen können. Wie organisiert ihr eure Auftritte, Konzerte und Touren? Was sind gute Erfahrungen und Best Practices in der Zusammenarbeit mit Veranstalter*innen und Clubs? Wie läuft eine gute Kommunikation und Planung für verschiedene Zugangsbedarfe? Welche Tipps habt ihr für andere Musiker*innen, Veranstalter*innen und Booker*innen, um inklusive Konzerte und Touren zu planen? Was gibt es außerhalb der Live Auftritte zu beachten, z.B. im Hinblick auf die Barrierefreiheit von Proberäumen, Musikplattformen, Social Media etc.? Wie können wir insgesamt eine bessere Zugänglichkeit und Inklusion in der Musik planen und organisieren? Schließlich haben alle Menschen Zugangsbedarfe, sie sind nur unterschiedlich.

Das Gespräch ist sowohl für Musikschaffende als auch alle in der Musikbranche arbeitenden Personen interessant, die Musik (Konzerte, Touren, Proben, Veröffentlichungen .. ) zugänglich organisieren möchten.

Ulrich Hartmann ist studierter Schlagzeuger und tritt unter dem Namen Ulla mit seinem Solo-Setup aus Orgel, Drums und Loopstation auf. Er ist regelmäßig als musikalischer Leiter und Bühnenkünstler an Theatern deutschlandweit tätig. Seit 2018 ist er Projektleiter von luftsprung live, dem Förderprogramm für chronisch erkrankte Musiker*Innen der Stiftung aktion luftsprung aus Frankfurt. Seit 2015 ist er Kuratoriumsmitglied des luftsprung campus Stipendiums. Zwischen 2021 und 2022 moderierte er gemeinsam mit Aktivist Raul Krauthausen die inklusive Online Talkshow ›Der Mach Dein Ding Talk‹. Er ist auch Teil der Jury des Musicboards.

LAURAINE - Hey, LAURAINE calling! Empowernder und tiefgängiger Synth-Pop Sound mit female Front und starker Stimme. Die englisch sprachige Band steht für fliederne feminine Ästhetik und mehr Diversität im Pop-biz. Im Logo der Band steht Brailleschrift für Inklusion und nimmt dadurch Bezug auf das Lebensthema von Laura. Seit 2020 ist der sphärische Power-Pop der vier Musiker im Umlauf und holt neben Süddeutsche Zeitung „Band des Jahres“ Titel und GEMA-Newcomer Auszeichnung die Pophoffnung der Süddeutschen Zeitung nach Hause.

Benjamin Michael // Chomin - Dieser energiegeladene Performer und Komponist definiert neu, was es bedeutet, Musik klar zu „sehen“. Mit einem Talent, das von innen heraus strahlt, setzt Benjamin Michael neue Standards in der Branche und fasziniert weltweit das Publikum mit seiner souligen Stimme, seinem fesselnden Saxophonspiel und seiner Meisterschaft am Klavier. Benjamins Musik ist eine Reise über Grenzen und Genres hinweg: Er verbindet den kantigen, elektronischen Puls Berlins mit rhythmusbetonten lateinamerikanischen Einflüssen und hüllt das Ganze in elektronischen Pop. Diesen November macht Benjamin einen weiteren mutigen Schritt in seiner Karriere und wird seinen eigenen Song „What if“ live mit einem Orchester in Krakau aufführen. Als ausdrucksstarker Künstler, der kürzlich den Titel des deutschen Low Vision Song Contest-Champions gewonnen und international den vierten Platz erreicht hat, sorgt er bereits für Aufsehen—und das ist erst der Anfang. Sein VIP-Status (Visually Impaired Phenomenon) bringt einen zusätzlichen Funken mit sich und zeigt, dass Musik nicht vom Sehen handelt—sondern davon, jeden Ton, jeden Rhythmus und jede Geschichte zu spüren.

Moderation:
Kyria Sobrinho studierte freie Kunst in Amsterdam und begann schon während ihres Studiums in Berlin über Musik und Film zu schreiben. Sie moderierte eine Musiksendung für multicult.fm. Derzeit gibt sie Führungen in diversen Berliner Museen zu den Themen Musik, Film, Architektur und Geschichte und arbeitet als freiberufliche Dolmetscherin für Französisch, Portugiesisch und Englisch im sozialen Bereich. Sobrinho leidet seit ihrer Geburt unter Ehlers-Danlos-syndrom und Komorbiditäten.

Barrierefreiheit

Das Fitzroy ist ebenerdig zugänglich, mit kleiner Schwelle, die mit Rollstuhl überwunden werden kann. Es gibt eine rollstuhlgerechte Toilette. Die Getränkekarte ist mit QR Code abrufbar.

Der Zugang zum Club von der Holzmarktstraße aus, zwischen Tankstelle und BVG, ist mit leicht abfallender Neigung für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung zugänglich. Der Club hat keine eigenen Parkplätze. In angrenzenden Straßen sind Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden, allerdings keine ausgewiesenen Behindertenparkplätze. Der nächstgelegene U/S Bahnhof Jannowitzbrücke hat einen Aufzug und ist barrierefrei für Rollstuhlfahrende und hat ein Blindenleitsystem.

Der Eintritt zur Veranstaltung ist frei. Begleitpersonen können gerne mitgebracht werden.

Katty Lange Booking Agent, ArtistManager, Creative Director, Firmly rooted in the electronic music industry for over 15 years, the trained bank clerk has established herself in many areas of the music industry. Focus, assertiveness, strategic thinking and the love and passion for music accompany her career, which began in 2004 with the record label Tresor Records. Since then her journey has taken her through many areas of club culture. From label work to club organization and night management. In 2007 she took over the label management at the Detroit label 430West and since then she is the artist manager of the live act Octave One. In 2012 the foundation stone for her career as a booking agent was laid at the Berlin booking agency Kinetic-am, which was essential for the later founding of her own agency. In 2016 she founded the booking agency Triangle with her 3 longtime business partners. Triangle offers her a creative platform to realize her cultural and professional goals on an international level. The long and close collaboration with Jeff Mills gave her the opportunity to look beyond her musical horizon and to realize various advanced projects in other areas of art and culture. Her principles are strength and calmness for every situation, as well as an open mind for the future, always keeping the main focus: the realizations of the artist and her collaborators.

Jovanka v. Wilsdorf is a Berlin-based artist coach and songwriter at BMG Rights Management. As a coach and consultant, she works for various major music companies and the Musicboard Berlin. She is an international speaker on "Artist Development," and "AI in Music Composition," the initiator of the AI song contest DIANA, and the Female*Producer Price for MW*G. As a copywriter she has worked for brands like Edeka, Melitta, Adidas, and Coca-Cola. Before signing with BMG as a songwriter and sub-publisher (Edition Jokasong), Jovanka toured Europe and released five albums at Sony Music and Monika Enterprise with her band QUARKS. Jovanka is passionate about unleashing creative potential and in love with the future.
