Dazu muss man für diese Dienstleistungen garnicht mehr tief in die Musikertasche greifen. Berlin hat ein Meer von Live Music Clubs und Veranstaltungen zu bieten - aber wie bekomme ich meine Band eigentlich auf die Bühne?

Warum meldet sich niemand zurück? Wie komme ich an Konzerte außerhalb meiner Homebase?
Wie schafft meine Band es auf nationale und internationale Festivals? Und ab wann brauche ich eigentlich eine Booking Agentur?
Mit ein paar Tricks, Ausdauer und etwas Geschick lässt sich eine Band heutzutage eigentlich erstmal recht gut selbst buchen.
Allerdings gibt es dabei ein paar Punkte zu beachten.
Wir machen eine Problemanalyse, fangen ganz von Vorne an und gehen den Buchungsprozess Schritt für Schritt durch.
Dabei wird auch mal der Hut der Veranstalter, Bands und Booking Agenturen aufgezogen, um das Große Ganze besser zu verstehen.

Lass uns quatschen! Ich erzähle auch gerne von meinen Erfahrungen als Musikerin, professionelle Bookerin und Veranstalterin und helfe beim Trouble Shooting.
Der Workshop ist eine Mischung aus TED Talk und Q&A, wobei alle Teilnehmer/innen mit einbezogen werden, wenn sie das möchten.

Learn about the new post-Brexit rules regarding the mobility of artists and culture professionals from the UK to Germany and from Germany to the UK. Both short-term temporary stays in the Schengen area (maximum 90 days in any 180-day period) and long-term mobility will be discussed. The workshop will be conducted in English and will be led by Sebastian Hoffmann from the German mobility information point 'touring artists' (www.touring-artists.info).

ECOLOGICAL TOURING - ALTERNATIVES TO FLYING

From "flygskam" (flight-shaming) to "tagskryt" (train-bragging)! The immense carbon footprint of air travel is also a concern for artists. But what are the alternatives? In this workshop we will learn how train travel can be a viable option for DJs and live artists to tour - despite the common preconceptions that train travel is too slow or too expensive. In the first section of the workshop, the basics of traveling by train to/from Berlin (train categories, booking windows, international travel, discount cards) will be presented. In the second part, we'll learn about train booking hacks how to find cheap fares and eventually, how to rethink touring and traveling.

Todays touring budgets have changed the way that tours are planned and carried out. Many tour-engineers, or other technical crew, find that they are facing double-assignments these days in order to compete.

This two-part course will cover the most important aspects of tour-management geared towards tour-crew who find themselves thrown into the position of doubling up as a TM. Various procedures and documents will be addressed and presented with explanations of real-life situations, spiced up with some of the madness encountered on a real tour.
