Das goldene Zeitalter der Kurzvideos auf Social Media ist in vollem Gange. Und während wir zwar alle bereits fleißig konsumieren, scheuen sich doch noch viele vor der Erstellung eigener Inhalte. Das Problem: ein Mix aus Gewohnheit, Kamerascheuheit und fehlendem Verständnis grundlegender Bedienungsfunktionen hält viele zurück, selbst loszulegen. Dabei eröffnen die neuen Video-Tools völlig neue kreative Möglichkeiten und sind dabei einfach zu bedienen und schnell erlernbar. Außerdem können Instagram Reels die eigene Reichweite kräftig pushen und TikTok einem ein komplett neues Publikum erschließen. Und nebenbei auch ziemlich viel Spaß bringen!

In diesem 4-stündigen Workshop betrachten wir Kurzvideos für TikTok und Instagram Reels als Chance, das Publikum auf kreative und unterhaltsame Art und Weise neu zu erreichen. Wir geben einen Überblick über technische und inhaltliche Grundregeln, zeigen anhand von Good Practices verschiedene Erzählweisen und stellen die jeweilige Besonderheiten von TikTok und Instagram Reels heraus. Im Praxisteil des Workshops produzieren wir ein erstes eigenes TikTok oder Instagram Reel, um das Erlernte direkt umzusetzen.

Ziel des Workshops wird sein, dich zu befähigen, mit dem eigenen Smartphone kurzweilige Videos für TikTok und/oder Instagram Reels zu erstellen, die dein Publikum begeistern.

Der Workshop richtet sich an Musiker*innen und Bands, die mithilfe von Kurzvideos ihre Kommunikation auf Social Media auf’s nächste Level bringen möchten.

Technische Voraussetzungen:
Für die Teilnahme am Workshop benötigt ihr ein funktionsfähiges Smartphone mit installierten TikTok und Instagram Apps.

SHOOT IT YOURSELF - NEW MUSIC-VIDEO-WORKSHOP FOR BERLIN BASED MUSICIANS

Music videos have become a very important facet of the music industry and a common tool for artist promotion. But how do they work? And how can you create interesting content on a modest budget? As digital filming becomes a more user-friendly and affordable option, it is essential for up and coming bands and new artists to gain filmmaking skills.

In the last twenty years, Stephanie von Beauvais has created music promos and shot both commercials and documentaries with a wide range of budgets including artists like the Beatsteaks, Materia, Tocotronic, Turbostaat and many more. Now for the third time she offers an intensive Workshop on both the theoretical and practical aspects of shooting your own video.

The workshop takes place in collaboration with BIMM Institute Berlin, Musicpool Berlin and is funded by Musicboard Berlin GmbH. It requires no attendance fee. Catering, travel- or accommodation expenses are not included. Participants are selected by a defined jury only. The jury’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Application via e-mail only.

You may participate due to a general interest of the topic or because you are responsible for a actual project.
Indeed, every participant is invited to work on his/her own video – either it has been already shot or it is in process of planning. For the shooting of their own video, the workshop even offers a financial aid of 300€ each, to 4 bands within the participants, who will be selected by the jury only.
