For our spring Artist Meetup, we look forward to collaborate with Weisse Rose in Schöneberg. Weisse Rose is a concert venue and a space for youth culture. Many artists in Berlin's music communities take their first steps in music here, recording or playing on stage. With our community programme moving through different clubs and districts over the years, this is also our first evening in the Schöneberg neighbourhood.

The Music Pool Berlin Artist Meetup is a regular meeting place for musicians in Berlin, to meet and network across scenes and genres, exchange, and maybe find new collaborations and eventually also build solidary connections. Eight short concerts of usually a wide spectrum of sounds and music make up the stage programme, and musicians can apply for one of the slots.

On stage, each musician or band has 10 minutes to play 2 songs or tracks live, with a basic setup. It also possible to show music videos or talk about a project. Please do use the stage also to mention what you are currently looking for (your future drummer may be in the audience) or ask for feedback. After the stage programme, there will be space and time to talk and meet. To chat more about the presentations, to discuss potential collaborations, to exchange ideas and contacts. And to move better together than alone. There will be ways also for those not performing on stage to present what you are looking for or offering. We look forward to another meetup of exchange - between scenes, different interests and experiences, and on new joint pathways.

DJ Set after the live show: Toastin (Tonträger Kollektiv Berlin) aka. Carlo is a DJ and electronic music producer. With influences from jazz, minimal and punk he creates various sound journeys.

Join us for an open air summer artist meetup! The Music Pool Berlin Artists Meet Up offers a platform for musicians to share their music projects with a wider musician community, to get to know what other musicians are currently working on, and to ask for feedback, ideas or support, and find new collaborators. The meetup also creates exchanges across music scenes and genres in Berlin.

How does it work? Each time, 8 musicians present their music, a new project, band, label, studio etc. - for 10 min each. Most musicians choose to play a short concert of live set of two songs or tracks. It is also possible to talk about a project or play music from file. Please do use your slot to ask the audience for feedback or talk about what you are looking for, if you like. Due to the outdoor summer location this time, we won't have projection and so can't show music videos this time. After the presentations, there is music and drinks, and time and space to get to know each other. To chat more about the presentations, to discuss potential collaborations, to exchange ideas and contacts. And to move better together than alone.

Shortly before closing the year, we would like to open the stage again for another Artist Meetup, at House of Music, along with some specials and surprises.

This time we will have 6 slots for artists to presen, and would like to focus on live performances. Each artist or band has about 10 min to play 2 songs/tracks, with a basic set up. You are very welcome to use your slot also to ask the audience for feedback or talk about what you are looking for. After the performances, there will be music and drinks, and time and space to get to know each other. To chat more about the presentations, to discuss potential collaborations, to exchange ideas and contacts. And to move better together than alone. There will be ways also for those not performing on stage to present what you are looking for or offering. We look forward to our next Artist Meetup in person, at the Weingarten Zenner in Treptower Park! Their open air stage will give space for eight artists to present what they are currently working on. The idea of the artist meetup overall is for Berlin musicians to meet and get to know each other, and to find out about possible collaborations.

This time, we invite live concerts and performances for the eight presentation slots. Each slot will allow to play about two songs or tracks live, and also you will have time to talk a bit about yourselves and your work and what you might be looking for, and have a short conversation with the audience. The Weingarten stage is separate from the large beergarden, so we'll have our own more quiet space for exchanges – however the Weingarten is open for the public to come and listen in. After the presentations there will be space and time for all to get to know each other and talk.

Music Pool Berlin organizes the Artist Meetup since 2015 as a platform for artists to meet each other across genres and scenes, and find out what others are working on, inspire each other, and find ways to collaborate.

Would you like to present and play at the Artist Meetup? We have eight slots of about 10 min each. Of course the Artist Meetup is not only for those presenting, but for everyone who would like to get to know other artists.

This time, we would like to try out an Artist Meetup again where all presenters will play live – from their studios or living rooms. To create some live concert vibes – even if we are in our homes. It will be six presenters, and each of you can play two songs or tracks, and talk about what you are currently working on, thinking about, and looking for. You can ask for feedback or find collaborators.

As always – the Artist Meetup will be to learn about what other musicians are working on, about projects that you may want to join, to find inspiration for your own practice, to make new connections. To get feedback from peers, and ideas you may not have thought about yet. After the presentations, there will be possibilities to meet in smaller groups, talk directly with each other, and continue exchanging.

We are using the micdrops system founded by the musician Enno Bunger, as an online platform for live music.

Would you like to play live at the next Artist Meetup? If so, please apply to andrea (at) musicpoolberlin (dot) net by May 14. Please include a link to your music, as well as what you would like to present or what you are looking for. You will use your own equipment in your studio/room for your little live concert, plug into your computer, and play in front of your camera. We will organize a soundcheck with all of you before, so that you can be confident for all to sound and work well during the meetup.

For those of you coming by to listen to the performances, to connect and exchange with other musicians - just join us in the meeting room on May 21st at 19:30. There is no registration required, just come early as capacity is limited to 50 people.
